This years guest speaker is Dr. Dan O'Brien from the KSU Department of Agricultural Economics. Dr. O'Brien has a B.S., Agricultural Economics from the University of Nebraska, 1978, M.S. in Agricultural Economics from the University of Nebraska, 1980, and a Ph.D. in Agricultural Economics, Iowa State University, 1993. The focus of Daniel O’Brien's extension and applied research efforts have been in the areas of grain and bioenergy market analysis - with emphasis on of wheat, feed grain, oilseed, and ethanol supply-demand and prices. He also has been working in the areas of irrigated and dryland cropping systems and natural resource-related issues in western Kansas. He also works extensively with agricultural audiences on issues such as farmland leasing and crop enterprise profitability.
Key topics at this years Crop & Livestock Supper will be the 2023 Crop Market and Prospect Profitability for Pawnee County. Tickets are $20 per person if purchased in advance and $25 at the door. Tickets are available at the Pawnee County Extension Office (620) 285-6901 or thru PDC Ag Members Erin Josefiak, Susan Snodgrass, Dr. Charles Lange, Kent Hagerman, Ted Van Horn, or Jerrod Smith.
